I THANK YOU

How many times do we stop to say "Thank you" to someone, not only on special occasions, like Christmas, Birthday, Valentine, Mother's/Father's Day, but really thank them for being a part of your life in a meaningful way?

I am humbled by my personal failures and achievements in life, though failures were my stepping stones to my success, I'm humbled that every part of my journey taught me a lesson quite unique and I am thankful for that.

For instance, Do we say 'Thank you' often enough to who deserves it, it is almost the equation of 'I love you', because both come with a gratitude beyond measure.

Do you stop sometimes, after making a great leap in life as difficult or easy as it may have been and ponder on all the determining factors that created that in your life?

Was it a family member, a friend, a stranger? Stop to thank them and show appreciation, not necessarily indebtedness to them, the truth is whenever I do something for someone I do it with my heart and soul and you owe me nothing, a 'thank you' is sufficient.

There are those who may have done kind things for others and always remind them or speak to others of what they have done for others. Self-praising themselves.

Is it necessary for you the 'doer' to talk of it, 'self-praising', when the person you did that kind act for, should be the one doing so? in your heart, you should remain happy that you have helped someone along the way and not necessarily boast of it, too many of us do that. Humility goes a long way.

Also, if it was your self-determination to succeed, that made you who you are, then thank yourself, not forgetting something negative or positive may have given you that self-determination and reliance to succeed.

Be mindful that even the negative person who may have raised your determination to succeed, might just be needed thanking too, sounds funny but it's reality.

Whenever my son completes a grade at school, and I'd been doing this from kindergarten, I have always found it important to thank the teachers for being part of my son's life; nurturing, tutoring, guiding and mentoring him in his learning journey and small steps in life. We must remember the importance of a teacher, caretaker doing a duty you probably can't do because you have to go to work, they are there to help you mould a child, even if they are being paid, thank you is nothing I take for granted.

I have always been grateful for my circumstance, this is what made me who I am. I am quite sure if you search yourself , you may also find the same.

Don't be discouraged by your circumstances, build your strength from it and be thankful that you survived it and can probably share and encourage someone in a similar or worse situation.

Be thankful to everyone who shares your life and makes it worth living. Never take them for granted. So many times I've seen so many who talked highly of a loved one or friend and never took the time to thank that person for being part of their lives in a significant way or simply saying "I Love You". You should say it now, show appreciation now.

Thank you for being a friend and I love you. Be Blessed!

I THANK YOU....
