An icon has departed this world. Michael Joseph Jackson.
I do not idolize people, I admire them and he deserved that admiration.
Lots of kids stayed out of trouble by simply competing among themselves or simply for fun, learning to dance like this guy. The beats and rhythm of his music was captivating and made you dance. Even my mum who’s conservative, moved her feet and shake her head to the music when she heard him sing. We were enthralled by this then little youngster’s music and dance. Racial barriers were broken down through his music, there’s no color to his music nor dance, anyone fitted in. Sure tells you that music is universal and is meant to unite all.
So many people are and were entranced by him. I loved him as a child and beyond his innocence.
I silently mourn his passing but at the same time I’m celebrating with my thoughts and memories of him, the thrill I got watching him perform as a kid, the lasting impression he left in our minds and as he grew older into manhood, the admiration still remains, just like we’d feel about a member of our family.
Michael had become like the welcome guest in our home through television, watching him perform on TV weekly, as kids it was really was a treat. so his passing seems like a close friend has passed.
I watched as he struggled with all the accusations against him, whether true or not, it never mattered or lingered on my mind, what mattered was if he was remorseful and ask forgiveness and I believe he did, that was all that mattered, but people have a way of not forgetting the past, we all have some stains, and we sure would like them blotted out but we are a judgemental type of species so all we do most of the time is condemn, long after the error was corrected.
His passing should be a wake up call for everyone, his purpose on earth has been fulfilled, there’s no untimely passing, probably to those who believe we are here forever, but everyone has a precise time and date with destiny, we’ll never be satisfied when others die young because we assume everyone should live to a ripe old age.
Just remember Jesus, he died at a young age as well., his time and purpose was fulfilled. When one’s time and purpose is fulfilled, it’s over, that is why I stress to make difference every moment, live life, enjoy life. We plan, God decides.
My consolation in his passing is that I believed he united the world in some form or fashion whether through his music, dances or charities. I look pass people’s errors in life and look at their struggle to correct their errors and I believed he did, let no one judge him, that’s God’s job, he probably might have made it right with his Maker, that’s the most important thing.
Michael is absent in the physical form but his spirit lives on. So cheer up all grief stricken folks. His purpose has been fulfilled. Did you learn anything from his time on earth? I hope you did.
Everyone has a date with destiny. Find your calling, fulfill it and enjoy it. No one dies before their purpose is fulfilled.
Micheal will be missed, but his music stays alive. His love for humanity has not gone unnoticed. He made a difference, a unique difference.
May he rest in peace. Peace be unto his family and friends. The world stands by you in your time of grief. Let’s celebrate his life.
