JUST FOR YOU DAD

You took me from baby to adulthood
Supportive and caring like a father should
You’ve been part of my moral upbringing
I appreciate your constant nurturing

You gave a listening ear to everything I said
Pulled me up whenever I had strayed
You still call me on every birthday
And say a silent prayer for me always

Though you were very tough and strict
Your rules I tired to contradict
I have become what I am today
Because you guided me along the way

Dad you’ll always hold a special place in my heart
Your love for me, I’ll never forget
I thank God I have a dad like you
Cause dads today are many, but yet few
