I AM SPECIAL….Very special

This poem is for the physically, mentally challenged or even those of a different race and color or for those who are being shun by some people because they simply do things or act differently. They also have capabilities, aspiration and goals just like some of us too. Their impediment doesn’t make them less, but probably do things a little slower than our pace. They are all special, unique and important like we are and sometimes more skillful and talented than us ‘normal’ people. Appreciate their contribution to humanity and stop looking down on them.

Break the inferiority complex barrier and cycle.

I never ask to be born like this
Why do you treat and scorn me like I’m a beast
I’m full of love and feelings too
I have dreams and aspiration like you too

You look at me like I’m weird
You turn up your nose and shake your head
I’m human like you with blood in my veins
I’d wish you can see me as a friend

I hold my head in utter shame
At you and all your foolish games
Some people make a fool of me
I’m wonderful and unique, why can’t you see?

I am somebody with abilities like you do
If only you can get past that silly view
Your view that I am stupid and weird
I wish you take back what you’d said
